Our Finance Controlling team is an integral part of the IBM Europe Finance Centers in Bratislava/Sofia. We are looking for Senior Finance Professionals to join us in our mission: to manage the financial performance for IBM Global Markets business units - Software Services - towards the achievement of assigned measurements.



Your Role and Responsibilities :



- Revenue/Cost/Expense forecasting (acting as a support/ trusted business advisor to operations manager who is owning this activity.)



- Actuals and forecast bridging (understanding the drivers of revenue/costs of projects and contracts. What is behind rev/cost results, comparing the periods, understanding deltas and with "lessons learned" help business driving towards better results.)



- Revenue recognition (Understanding the implications of different revenue recognition rules)



- Accruals & deferrals (requesting /preparing accruals and deferrals in accordance of appropriate revenue recognition rules.)



- Closing activities (providing input about expected landing position daily each closing. This requires detailed tracking of actuals, forecasts, understanding the revenue recognition rules.)



- Revenue and cost of revenue reporting for software services. (Multiple reports to track revenue and costs on projects, subcontractor scope, presales activities)



- Manual vouchers (Rev/cost reclassifications. Creating vouchers for re-organizations, miss-coded entries, manual setup of periodizations.)



- Ad hoc requests (Act as trusted business advisor providing support for business/operations colleagues.)

Proficient user of Microsoft Office
